Bu kitapta, Türk Makam Müziğinin önemli bestecileri tarafından bestelenmiş çeşitli formlardaki saz eserleri Bolahenk nota sisteminden uluslararası nota yazım sistemine transpoze edilmiştir. Transpoze edilen her bir eserin piyano eşlikleri de yazılmıştır.

Kitap sadece bir albüm olarak hazırlanmamış, örnekleme alınan her bir eserin bestecileri hakkında ayrıntılı bilgilerle de donatılmıştır. Tampere akord sistemindeki bir çalgının mikrotonal müziğe eşlik etmesindeki tezatlık bilinmektedir. Bugüne kadar bu eserlerin otantik halleriyle seslendirimlerinin yanı sıra tampere çalgılarla birlikte seslendirimleri yapılagelmektedir. Batı çalgılarıyla doğu çalgılarının, Batı ses sistemiyle Doğu ses sisteminin bileşiminden farklı bir renk elde edilmesi ve Batı ülkelerinde Makamsal müziğimizin tanıtımının yapılması açısından bu bileşimin önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir.

Çoğunlukla monofonik ve heterefonik tarzda seslendirilen Türk sanat Müziği eserlerinin Homofonik tarzda seslendirimine de olanak tanıması, bu kitabın güçlü yönlerinden birisi olarak değerlendirilebilir.

Türk Makam Müziği bestecilerinden Refik Fersan, İsmail Hakkı Bey, Refik Talat Alpman, Gazi Girayhan, Tanburi Cemil Bey, Mesut Cemil Bey, Nevesser Kökdeş, Şerif Muhittin Targan, Kemani Tatyos Efendi ve Lavtacı Andon'un eserlerine yer verilmiştir.

In this book, instrumental works in various forms, composed by important composers of Turkish Maqam Music, have been transposed from the Bolahenk notation system to the international notation system. Piano accompaniments of each transposed work were also written.

The book has not been prepared only as an album, but is also equipped with detailed information about the composers of each sampled works. The contrast in an instrument in the tamper tuning system accompanying microtonal music is known. These musical works, hitherto, have been vocalized in their authentic form, as well as with tampere instruments. This composition is considered to be of great importance in terms of creating a different color from the combination of western and eastern instruments and the western and the eastern sound systems and promotion of our Maqamal music in Western countries.

The fact that the book enables Turkish Art Music works, which are mostly vocalized in monophonic and heterofonic styles to be performed also in a homophonic style can be considered as one of its strenghts.
