The Second Taliban Era in Afghanistan: Identifying Risks and Opportunities

Afghanistan is the beautiful land of endless wars and suffering throughout the history. Its people have been at the end of the misfortunate including famine, displacements, and natural disasters. Will be the time for the country and people to have a  lasting peace, and enjoy harmony and prosperity?
The event of Aug. 2021 is very historic looking at it from all angles. While it did present the country with multitude of challenges, it did present tremendous opportunities for setting a trajectory for recovery and the ultimate stability if Afghanis and their friends are serious about it. Will Afghanis defy the history? and move on to put the country on the road of a positive transition.
The withdrawal of the US, the long standing foe for Taliban, is seriously testing the Taliban true purpose, is it genuine?, and also testing all the neighboring as well as regional countries on their capabilities to come together in a joint effort to help Afghanis through the road of recovery and stability. Do they all share the same interest of having a stable and prosper Afghanistan?
